Historically the .222 Remington has had a rep for inherent accuracy. I fired one for many years. The .223 has a little more zip and it is not unusual for a military cartridge to catch on with civilians. So the triple deuce lags in sales and available rifles. I would not bother trading in a 222 for 223.
