If you find the perfect ONE rifle, I don't want to hear about it. However, My wife might.. The 270 is probably the best pure deer rifle on the planet. Thats is for any size deer under most all shooting and hunting conditions. The only thing that might be better would be the 280. Even then its to close to call the difference. Very close would be the 250, 25-06 260, 6.5x55, 7mm-08, 7x57 Mauser ,308, and 30-06. Don't forget the 44 Mag and 45-70.
