I am a novice bow hunter that blew a chance to shoot at a 10 pointer by letting my arrow come off it's rest and tap against my bow while the deer was coming in. He never ran off just got very cautious and seemed to want to circle in from the opposite direction. When he went to do that he picked up the scent trail that I had put down but followed it to where I had come from not to where I was. Should I get back t o that stand right away or should I stay away for a day or two??? It is private land that is only hunted by me if that makes a difference. Any feed back would be appreciated.
