Natty, I have a pair of Rocky snake boots. So far I like them. But, I havent wore them out hunting yet. I got them for Christmas, I have only been wearing them around the house to try and break them in a bit. Some guys didnt like them because of the way they fit and some didnt like them because the pair they had wasnt water proof, the boots are supposed to be. Anyway, I think my boots would stop a copperhead, but a 4 foot rattle snake is a nother story IMO. There is also snake proof chaps you can buy. There are timber rattlers and copper heads where I hunt, never seen them. But the boot is going to give me a little bit of rest wearing them this spring.
