Default RE: are coyotes really...

I agree that house cats and dogs kill alot of game, but for someone to think they kill more game than coyotes doesn't make sense.

Yotes are much more dispersed than feral or family pets.

Yotes kill to eat. They kill out ofnecessity. Pets don't kill out of necessity. A coyote has to kill to feed its young. Does your family dog?

I know here in PA there aren't rabbits and pheasantslike there useto be. So what are all those PA coyotes eating?

Yeah, they eat mice but they will eat fawns too, as well as adult deer.

For the guys who don't mind having the yotes around, its too bad we can't relocate our coyotes to your hunting grounds.

For someone to claim, that cats and dogs kill more game than coyotes is crazy. All coyotes have to kill to surive and alot of the time, what they kill, is a game animal.

Wild pets can and do kill game but not at the rate coyotes do.

Insome placesthereare a variety of other animals a coyote can kill and eat and many of them are easier to catch and kill than a deer. They can go after quail, rabbits, armadillas, javilina, feral hog piglets, and other animals. That may be why they don't put such a dent in the deer numbers as bad as they do other places. some places all there is, is deer and mice. Like here in PA.

I'd like to see you guys book a hunt on a Texas ranch and tell the owner and guides, that you feel the coyotes should be left alone, because they won't hurt the deer population. What do you think they would say?
