Here's one target from 6-10-06 at the range. 100 yards, all fired with a fouled bore.
A bit of explanation is required:
1. The center group was with the .430 300gr XTP in a Hornady sabot (green). 85 gr T7 2f. I got shook up when I saw the first two in the bull and pulled the third. Took a 7/8" group out to 1 1/4". I think this will be my hunting load this fall.
2. The upper group was with the 435 gr PowerStar bullets that came with my rifle ahead of 70 gr T7 2f. They loaded VERY hard in the fouled bore, but slid down easy once started. Point of aim was the very top edge of the paper.
3. The two shots at 8 o'clock and spread out were the 460 gr PowerPunch conicals that came with the rifle - 70 gr T7 - and no wad. POA also top edge of paper. I quit after the second - probably should have fired a third - who knows, it might have been real close to the one near the center?
