Yes the arrow holder works as intended, goes right back in the holder. Hankfan,I have the NAP 2000 and it took me all of 3 minutes to setup and adjust. I did have a chatter problem but i e-mailed NAP and they sent me the updated cable slide no noise since. They are both very good rests. Hope this helps and good luck on your decision.
