RE: Thompson 54 cal Renegade Question
Shot tonight for a while with the renegade. Changed to a Thompson Peep site on tang and shot 85gr of FFG with 240gr Hornadys. On paper at 100 5" high and too the right and didn't have a allen wrench small enough to adjust the rear sight but pretty convincing group of 5 shots at roughly 4". Pretty pleased with that. I'll experiment with the loads a little more after making the adjustments. Thinking 3" high at 100 should put me on at 150. We'll see. Really like the peep vs the standard ramp. Switched the front to a fiberoptic sight too.
Shot my Black Diamond too. Ready for my flight tomorrow to DC and if all goes well back to VT this weekend for a quick two day hunt! BD is shooting good groups too but wish I had a peep on it for this trip. Thanks for you help and all. Nice two have too frontstuffers that are on!
