Default RE: Burris or Leupold???

ORIGINAL: Angus74

Ive got a new rifle coming in the next couple days,, and I cant decide on a scope, I am looking at the Burris Fullfield II and the Leupold Rifleman. The Burris would be either the 3-9x40 or the 4.5-14x42 both in Ballistic Plex reticle. and the Leupold in the 4-12x40 Duplex. I already have a Burris 4.5-14 on another rifle and love it I dont think it can be beat, but a lot of guys are saying that Leupold is better. I looked up the Rifleman on Leupolds website, and it doesnt have the features and quality of their other scopes, and I am just wondering what you guys think the better scope would be. It will be mounted on a Remington 700 Stainless Fluted in .243 win. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
I have both of these. Both are very good scopes. My Leupold being a VXII 4-12 and my Burris being the fullfield II 4.5-14 x42. Probably would go with the leupold though although they are both damn nice and bright scopes. I have the leupold on a .300 wsm and 3 of the burris's above on 2 ar's and one 22.250. If you get the burris make sure you get the package deal that gives you the free spotting scope..that is one of the reasons I bought 3 of them. They also look kick butt on an ar.
