Hunter class in the IBO shoots is approx 35 yards, and you will occasionally see them out to 38 yards or so. I know the difference between lets say 280fps and 310fps is marginal at best and wellunder an inch,but most of the time the difference between placing and not placing, or maybe taking first is a point or so. Will that extra .5 of an inch I get with that speed get me an occasional point once in a while? Yes, I am willing to bet it does. Add in the fact that everyone else I compete against takes advantage of the speed, and then it makes more sense.
I can also shoot it very well, and don't see any disadvantage, so why not? I know you will hear people say "fast miss, or slow hit" but that really doesn't apply here IMHO, you heard about the 5 spot game I shot the other night with this rig from 30 yards...........
