Hey, mobow and hardcore, do you guys sometimes find it a pain, depending on the type of bark, to get the cable to slide down the treeas you release your weight fromit when you're climbing down? I sure do......I think that's been my only gripe about this thing thus far.
I too have a Summit Viper (the Viper X4) and love it!!! I have noticed that depending on the tree, it will bite into the bark- and bite hard - to where you have to take your toe and reach down and kick up the bottom platform a little, to loosen it. Now THAT is a secure tree stand! [8D]

My Viper X4 is quiet too, but if I rush snaking the cables through, the metal loop might clang inside. If I take my time and be quiet, the Viper is very very quiet to setup.
