Just back from my bear hunt which ended successfully, but I had a rather strange event occur. The first night was winding and 4 out of 6 hunters saw bears & one was shot. I didn't see a thing. The next night was raining and everyone but me saw bears. The next night I changed stands to one with LOTS of scat around it-I could see 9 piles from my stand. Everyone saw bears but me. The only thing I could think of that I was doing different than in the past was I had taken a video poker game with me and was playing it to pass the time. The next night I left it in camp and started seeing bears within an hour of getting in my stand. On the last night I saw 5 different blacks as well as a small cinnamon, which came in numorous times. At 10 I shot a bear after being abslutely covered in bears all evening. Could the game give off any kind of signal that the bears could detect that I couldn't? I did have it on the silient mode. Or was all this just a coincidence?
