Wow! I'm amazed at this guys lack of information and ethics. He'd rather
allow the deer to rot than allow you to go remove it from his property. Maybe the carcass will attract several coyote that will move on to this guys cats then a ton of crows that will defecate on his car. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
I'm tempted to tell you to go get it regardless but then we'd be stooping to his level.
You did the right thing and it will come back around to you 3 times 3 (as the saying goes).
