I'd love to have a backup but this sport is too expensiveas it is. As much as I've spent lately on arrows, broadheads, stands, etc my wife would kill me if I bought another bow any time soon. I've been looking at the Bowtech Allegiance so my Razortec would become my backup - maybe next year.
Well I changed my mind and bought a cheap used bow on ebay. I'm going on a trip and it made sense to have a backup. I got it for 130 bucks. It seems like a decent used bow for the money. It's a 2003 Pearson Predator VX.
60 to 70 lb draw weight, 29"
7.25inch brace height
85% let off
Comes with stabilizer and sights. Here's a pic(not the actual bow)

This bow is sweet! Best 130 bucks I ever spent. I like it every bit as much as my Hoyt. It's smooth and very quiet. I put a whisker biscuit on it and shot it for the first time last night and was driving nails after about 10 minutes of tuning. Man this thing is QUIET. And the angled grip is real nice too. I'm glad this thread inspired me to look for a cheap backup.
