Default RE: Uberti 1873 Cattleman .45 Colt

A. Uberti is owned by Beretta. They (Beretta) have decided to jump WHOLE HOG into the "cowboy/western shooting" scene and A.U. is gaining daily in that market. Personally I think Herstal/Miroku missed the boat by not positioning Winchester to take advantage of this sports gain and popularity over the last decade, but they obviously only concentrated on Browning and let Winnie fall down the crapper. I have sold Uberti's for a few years now and I can honestly say that I haven't had the first one come back, come to think of it I can't say that about ANYOTHER gunmaker that I have been associated with during that same time. Now granted I am in west TN so I am not exactly in the middle of the cowboy shooting population, but the guns quality is evident just looking, holding and firing them. I "fondle" a nickel/pearl cattleman each morning at work, they really are nice pieces. Their lever guns are IMHO better than ANYTHING Winchester ever built at anytime (better and newer machining, metals and technology).

Now if we can just get someone to start knockin off A5s and model 12s!!!
