PD, if you are looking for Vilas county area, there is so much public land that I think you would be able to do good just by yourself, without a guide-type person like you describe. For deer, those kinds of people are alittle tough to find. I would take a look on the internet and look at the fishing guides (which there are a million of in Vilas) and see if one of them may do some hunting as well. There is sure a lot of land in that area though for you to check out.
