Hi Tundra, I'm not from Joplin, but I live about 30 minutes from it, over on the kansas side. Bow hunting is great over there! Don't know much about bow hunting around Joplin, don't think the deer get as big. If you can afford to get Kansas tags, or perhaps live in kansas, and drive to Joplin to work. There's a lot of public land that has some pretty good deer hunting thats pretty close. I've never shot in 3D, so don't know much about it. I do know they have shoots around the area though.
