RE: .307 Win & .308 Levers
OEH, If I understand you correctly, you're saying that even if they produced a 336 in .308 using the Leverevolution bullet, it still wouldn't match a BLR, so why bother. Did I get it right?
Didn't think about this new ammo giving Marlin the liberty to up the price of their rifles. I was kind of hoping that this would alow Marlin to compete more directly with the BLR and bring down Browning's excessive price tag.
If it truely will be accurate out to 300 yds, or even 250, it will let me get more use out of my 336 and allow me to wait on my BLR until I can better afford it.
It looks like the .307 doesn't have any hope. The 336 in .308 would make more sense than trying to revive a shortlived round.
