RE: do nylons work keeping you warm?
In my military experience, the poly-pros, as we call them, are great. But for a lighter insulation, forget the nylons and get you some spandex. I am talking about the long trouser-like bottoms. Spandex is great for about 40 degrees and above. I have worn them several times this season. Try them, I think you'll agree. You can find them at most athletic sporting goods stores.
