My partner swore by the older version of GS bullets in his 280 rem,using 160 gr for everything and it performed very well. However he switched after a poor experience with GS a few years ago on his elk, bullet came completely unglued on a rib shot of 50 yards and required finishing shots. I have heardsome talk/rumors speers changed the process a few yearsback making the GS not what it used to be in terms of terminal performance.

You can take that for what its worth thoughg, asI personally haven't used the GS. I have been pleased with nosler offering and recently the barnes TSX. Hornady has also worked well for me in the past in certain rifles/applications.
