This letter is in response to the Washington State Supreme Courts decision to overturn second degree murder convictions. The repercussions of this asinine decision could be catastrophic. In fact I can here the doors to all the state prisons opening up now. Who are they protecting by this? Not me!!! I don't feel safe knowing that murders are going to be set free. Were not just talking about 1 or 2 even that's to many. Were talking hundreds!!! Law enforcement already have a tough enough job arresting and convicting criminals. Now they have to prove what they are thinking at the time of the crime. I don't know you tell me. What was Ryan May and Jacob Gambel thinking at the time they were kicking, stomping, Daniel Carroll's head into the sidewalk. They didn't stop till 3 girls threw themselves over Daniels unconscious body. Which he died a few days later. Now they might be let go to this absurd decision. Washington state says it cares about victims rights. Their showing us other wise. I ask that the people of Washington State to write their Governor, Senators, Legislator, and the State Supreme Court to stop this miscarriage of justice.
