<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote<font size=1 face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>I'm really glad that you Remington owners get so much enjoyment from owning and hunting with a basically dangerous gun <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' size=2 id=quote>

The gun isn't dangerous, its the people using the gun. I've used a rem 700 for nearly 20 years and never had it go off while reloading it. Sufice to say that I never thought its a good idea to point the gun at other people while unloading it either. If a person cannot take the care to watch where they are pointing their firearm or have the awareness of whether or not the safety is on or off, they should take up a different sport like golf. BTW there are ALOT of older winchester 94's out there that don't have the crossbolt safety. These rifles are far more dangereous in the hands of the inexperienced than a rem 700 will ever be.

Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms... who's bringing the chips?
