I agree with the above statements...for the most part. Are you from the north with up to 50 lb 'dogs or farther south where a 30 pounder is a moose. might make a difference. Still, all the calibers listed are pretty much too light for anything but head shots. I have shot almost as many coyotes with a .22 as anything else, but that is because I hunt squirrels with a .22 and happen to run into many coyotes at the same time. Head shots only or off they go....
