The 17 hmr i had order (Rem. 504T) is backordered and they have no idea when they will get one in (i'm leaving for Japan in two months and only have one month left here in NC) so i was thinking about getting my 2nd choice which is a savage w/ thumbhole stock and stainless barrel. the concern i have is that the barrel isn't a dull stainless it is a bright stainless and is shiney(sp?) so do you all think this would be a problem while hunting small game including fox, crow, and close range coyote(with in 100 yds)
