I have a bad back and neck. I have a preacher that runs the range in Meeker colorado, thatzeros my rifle every year. About the only time I shoot is to kill something. EVERY big game animal that I have taken a shot at has been eaten by my family and friends. I don't believe a guy has to shoot boxes of shells at the range to be a good hunter. If its a good ethical shot and you've been taught the basics you should be able to kill what you are aiming at. I'm not saying new shooters should not practice, but once you learn what your doing I don't think you need to spend hours shooting boxes of shells at the range unless thats what you're into.
