Default RE: Slim Jinsky spin

This thread is getting interesting. A couple of points: Alt may not have destroyed the herd, but he sure destroyed the PGC's credibility and the hunting experienceof a significant amount of hunters (and the legislators that represent them) and that has consequences.Did anyone ever hear Rosenberry stand up and contradict Alt when he was working for him? Rosenberry cannot be given the benefit of the doubt -- and there's plenty of doubt.
I would say the same thing for Carl Roe who replaced Vern Ross. If they had a will to go to honest scientific management rather that just an appearance of it, if they had a will to cater to their payinglicence buyersrather than all the other "stakeholders," they would have gone outside the agency to replace Alt and Ross.
Didn't happen though -- draw your own conclusions!

ps Alt was correct when he talked about "Alpha hunters." They are there, but they are not typical nor are there enough of them to $upport the operations of the PGC.

pps In all of this we have to always remember who has the power keep or fire Game Commissioners and who therefore is ultimately responsible for the successes and/or failures of this agency -- the Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Honorable G. Edward Rendell.
