Default RE: How cold is too cold?

10-20 degrees is a warm front. I thought you were talking about cold weather. The peak of the rut here in NW Montana is the last 2 week in November and the weather is very challengeing and if you can't sit still than you might as well leave. I layer up useing several layers of polar fleece, and a heavy jacket on the outside, the hardest part is my feet gets cold first but I have made some changes this year in that deparment, It seems like its always cold here dureing hunting season except for the bow season. If you are properly dressed for it than you can handle it. Use wool and try to stay away from cotton. To dress in cold weather is really a science and time consumeing, but if you can't sit comfortable its very difficult to hunt. When I hunt in extreme cold weather the first hour I actually acclimate my body to get very cold, after I go through the numbing process I can sit for many hours. Sorry, didn't mean to ramble on.
