you would want good penetration for your 44 mag load I strongly recommend the winchesters 250 grain supreme partition gold load or federals 300 grain castcore load.
Or one made by Garrett, Black Hills, or Corbon, or a similar one that uses a heavy, hard-cast bullet that has a flat nose profile so it won't have as much tendency to glance as a round-nose bullet has.
