I have read that duck hunting there is still pretty good, but I was curious as to the rest of it.

WW393, the best location I have found in Fl to duck hunt is Lake Talquin outside Tallahassee, Fl.
Hey guys, I actually live in Tallahassee and go to school at FSU (Go Seminoles!)... Lake Talquin can have great duck hunting, but it can get crowded. Within a 20 min drive of Tallahassee you can get on Lake Jackson, Lake Talquin, and Lake Iaomonia which are great duck hunting. There are numerous other lakes within 30 mins. Im a born and raised florida boy, and the hunting can be great in certain parts of the state. We have a great public land system, but like anywhere else it can get crowded. Private leases are around, but the prices are quickly being driven up due to increasing populations and less land. Nevertheless, Florida still has great hog hunting, Osceola hunting and of course duck hunting. The deer hunting is the best it has been in a few years... in fact last year number 10 ever in the state was taken.
