Well, CONGRATS on the deer. As far as tips on field dressing, it will get better with experience. I do not know anyone who DIDN'T have problems on the first one, myself included. The important thing is to take your time. I have gotten much better since my first and I'm sure you will be the same way. You will become better each time you have to do it.
