I finally shot my first Turkey with a bow. I have shot a few nice toms with my shotgun, but this year I wasnt able to draw a firearms tag. Then I figured well why not try the bow. I have shot a lot of whitetails with my bow and this was a very big challenge. After missing one nice tom and one other jake i finally took this guy. The morning I shot this guy, i was working twoother tomes,The toms where gobbling there heads off about 100 yards away. As they were working there way towards my blind this jake joined them in there search of the hen. They didnt like the little jake with them at all. They kind of chased him to me. At the moment of truth the jake was 21 yards away and the toms where 32 yards away. I almost went for the toms but then i came to my senses and figured I would take the easy shot being this is my first one with a bow. Yea i think i am going to leaving the shotgun at home a lot more, turkeys and archery equipment are addicting, and i am HOOKED.
