I suspect there is something to hang time although I have no clue how to prove it. Are those articles available on the internet James? If I planned regular hunts in Montana or Idaho where you see the game at artillery range, I would have a fast belted magnum for sure. And should I decide to do that someday, I will get one. When I got rifle for my son I got a 308 with decent accuracy. Although initially intended for deer, I could not guess where he might be hunting 20 years from now. And he would stand a good chance of winning an argument with any beast he might run into with a .30 cal.
