When the head of a Gobbler is Bright Red with a noticable Blue around the eye and White cap, it means he is excited and is in display for the approval of a hen. If his head turns white with very little or distinct red throughout the crunkles then he is ready to mate and has made his mind up to which hen he will service. If the head turns all red with little colour otherwize , he is mad as another gobbler has stepped in his turf.
