I've got one being done in full strut gobbling. If you check out the hazel creek website they have a shot of this type on there. The only difference is I am having the wings just tipped back and up a wee bit to what the photo shows. It exposes the spurs just a little better. I found a pic of a real gobbler in the exact pose and gave it to the taxidermist. I think this has everything. It hangs the beards with the head sticking out in a gobble, has the full fan, and with a walking pose you have great views of the spurs. And of course the bird doing what we all love the most, gobbling!

I agree that the taxidermsit is the most important point. I would not get it done by one who was trying to disscourage me from a full strut mount. It is the most common pose and if done properly and cared for at home it is fine. Just would make me wonder if he's telling me to think twice about doing it that way.
