You make a good point, I've been to the WDFW meetings, they just don't listen, and last Elk season I didn't see a single game warden.
The lack of game wardens is directly related to the lack of money. I'd like to see them raise the price of deer and elk tags, and increase the number of game wardens, by a substantial amount. They ought to have game wardens that concentrate on wildlife, rather than fish. As it is now it seems they spend most of their time harassing the steelhead/salmon fishermen. When they do go out on opening day of deer/elk seasons, seems to me they're spending too much time worrying about checking people for loaded guns in vehicles and not wearing orange. It shouldn't be the state's job to protect the stupid. I'd like to see them going after the hard core poachers, and hunters who are committing more serious violations that affect our wildlife populations, and taking away opportunity for the honest hunters.
