Once in a lifetime shot???????
Yesterday morning I was watching 3 doe that were a good 70 yds away for about 20 minutes from my climber. I figured there were no horns around so I held the bow down and just watched. I heard something almost right under and behind my tree stand so I slowly looked back and down and nothing. I heard the leaves move again so I turned all the way around and WHAMO. There was a 6 or more point Albino walking by my stand at about 15yds away. He was steadly walking and by the time I had the chance to draw I only had a but shot. I waited to he began to turn broad side and he stopped. I let go and the arrow hit under his feet. I followed him threw the peep the whole time and did not recognize that he had walked about 25-28 yds. I aimed as though he was 20yds. This was only my second shot at a deer ever. I was so excited about him being my first bow kill that I forgot about the distance. It was a beautiful thing and it took me a few moments in order to decide if I should draw. When the arrow hit the ground he studdered about 3 steps and slowly walked away with his tail down. What are the odds I will se him again monday????
