I've tried hunting from natural blinds a few times, mostly whenI was a kid. It has been my experience that whitetaildeerwill noticethe slightest twitch of your butt musclefrom within bow range on the ground. Now mule deer I have had much better luck with, but that could be directly related to the amount of hunting pressure and not the species... maybe. It is fun though even when you don't get a shot to be that close on the ground. Perhaps that is all that matters.
