9 1/2 hrs. and someone stoled her
last night i set up an ambush for a buck i have been seeing but he was to smart for me this time but ten minutes later i stuck a doe. it was a low shot, thought i had missed. waited 15 min got down went to find my arrow and there was a very faint tint of red on it and white hair on the ground. i figured i graised the brisket so i went and found blood within 20 yards bright red and a lot of it. so i went back packed up my stuf went to the truck and waited an hour (normal routeen) so to make a long story short awsome blood trail hardly had to bend over there was so much bright red blood every where. i am starting to think a heart shot. but i tracked it 3 tenth of a mile so the gps said and lost the blood. so i went home and this morning i went back took about 1 houre to get back on her. the last 50 yards i was on my hands, knees, and belly going through the thickest briar patch ever and expecting to find her at any moment. well the trail ended in a big and i mean big patch of blood along a creek ( sm. river) i circled the area 4 times and no more blood so i go back to the blood patch and i notice 2 foot from where she was laying there was evidence of where a jon boat had recently parked and 20 yards away across the creek was a jon boat. the doe would of been easily seen from there back door. so after 8 years of bowhunting i have lost my first deer and i am pisssseeeedddd. so i do one more loop around and find nothing not a drip. so i tell the gps to take me home it says 1/2 mile as a bird flies. and 9 1/2 houres later i am going home empty handed at least the deer is not being wasted. boy i wish i had a way across the creek or even knew how to get to that houes.
