Congrats on the new bow. As far as the air rest goes, I looked at one yesterday at cabela's, they are selling them now. They don't sell GFK prong rests anymore, but they sell every crazy looking drop a way or containment rest you think of. I am quickly beginning to not like cabela's as far as archery goes. They used to have a great archery department, but every year it gets smaller and more cheesy. And if you see something you like, they may not even carry it in a few months.
Any way, the rest has a VERY strong magnet in it. Like all the packages were stuck together when I looked at them and I had to pry them apart. The rest is basically just like a WB but no wiskers and it weighs more. Tuning and mounting looks to be the same. And no it does not "float" the arrow while at rest. It will sit on top of the rest, which means it is free to move around clank against the side of the rest or bounce up and down. It will only float when you draw it and the metal insert in the tip comes into the magnetic field.
All I have to say is I am glad you are trying it out and not me

. All joking aside I think it should work fine for you. I wouldn't want to shoot vegas rounds or field archery with it, but it should work for hunting just fine.
By the way I got a bodoodle pro light in the bargain cave while I was there to replace my drop zone. Man what a nice rest! The packaging and instructions pretty much suck, but the rest is nice as long as you don't shoot a helical.
Again congrats on the bow and good luck with it.
