RE: Moving to West Virginia
All I know it is very steep ,not much flat land.I have seen reports that people are complaining about the deer herd is getting low.the area I have traveled through has lots of deer. Around 60a square mile.Land is cheap ,homes are cheap. property taxes cheap. You can actually buy some property and get free gas For heatting .And property owners can hunt without a license on their on land.It has bear and yotes also. Some areas are very remote and has a great hillbilly attitude.I've seen in the appalchians people in skins and living in them super cabins like the hatfields and McCoys with no utilities. Neat junkyards in backyards. AND the best many areas have no building restrictions you can still do what you want in them there mountains. The mountains streams are beautiful, the low land rivers can be muddy looking.Dont live along a creek or river.Things run off them mountains and flood easy.Dont forget to drive along the streams and look up in the trees. You could see anything hanging in the trees from the last flood..Oh in the more remote areas every little general store has a big sign in their windows. WELCOME HUNTERS,WE GOT BEER.
