A few things I learned...
1) Campo should either buy higher boots, or find a different path to cross the stream.
2) Campo should take his decoys and burn 'em, cause it sounds like his birds are hanging up too far, and want the dekes to move to them.
3) Campo can't kill a turkey in bed, but his buddy can from his backyard.
4) He's got too many birds for only two tags, cause...
5) I think his missus is PO'ed, and now he'll need an excuse to hunt EVERY day...
Thanks Campo, been there and done all of that at some point. I remember one day during Fall Bow season, I went to cross a "small" stream...it had rained the night before, and the damn thing had risen from my ankles to my crotch...and yep, I fell in...cold day on stand that morning
I'll tell you how my first day went today, in CT:
After being in Red Flag Burn conditions for 45 days, our area of CT has received between 1-2 inches of rain in less than 24hours. It's soppin' wet, and the boys are courting the ladies heavy. I had one strutter patterned, but for some reason he didn't want to leave his two jakes and 5 ladies for my calls. Tomorrow will be different, I hope...haha...game on!!
