Default RE: LEUPOLD 50MM SCOPE VX-L OR VX-III

BBC, I also shoot the A-bolt .270 in stainless and have a 3.5 x 10
VXIII 50mm on top. The new lower mounted ones weren't available
when I bought mine, but I really don't see the need for it other
than not having to buy higher mounts. Doesn't seem worth the extra $.
By the way, I shoot Hornady 140 gr. boattails in the light magnum and
love them. I also like the Butler Creek flip-up scope covers, but I removed
the red plunger on the eyepiece because it looked like it wouldn't feel too
good if it somehow found its way to my eyeball. I use my fingernail to open it and that works just fine.
