RE: Still a 35 yard Turkey Gun
Ok guys I know I argue a lot on here but I can't help it.
What is the Point? Why would you need to shoot farther than 35 yards?
I don't turkey hunt anymore, I'm teaching my boys the finer points of the set up, the call sequence, understanding what the birds are doing etc. I enjoy that more than I would actually trying to kill more gobblers myself.
The funnest part of turkey hunting if outwitting the buzzards. Fooling them into coming to you and getting close. Maybe when I was a kid I would have shot a bird at 60 yards but I teach my kids that its better to let em go than to wound one.
I quess time has past me by though, because I don't like those damn blinds either. It just looks like cheating to me.
