I have been making my own for years 8oz of hydrogen peroxide 3% 16oz of distilled or rain water 1/4 cup baking soda I leave out the soap and I have walked in on the same deer trail several days in a row and deer still use them.If you use a good scent killer no need for a cover scent! They say a deer can pick out and identify 20 diffrent smells at the same time. I just mist every thing down in the am and it works all day long. I also use cheap chemical suits available from several surplus outfits. They also work great only wear them to and from your stand and tumble in the dryer every couple days with a 1/4 cup of soda for 10-15 min.
