Default RE: Fox with a bow

I don't shoot foxes, but that's just me. My hunting partners all do. I enjoy watching them. I guess it's part of my, "if I can't eat it I don't shoot it". Although, that theory was put to the test when I was a kid and shot 10,000 tweets.[8D]

I've had cats within 15 yards twice in my years of bowhunting. Just enjoyed watching them do their thing. I've had coyotes close a couple times. I do shoot them and don't eat 'em. One time they did a back flip and exited stage left when I tried to draw. The other time my release was screwed up and I didn't know it. I went to draw back on a coyote at 20 yards. I got drawn about 10 inches and the dang release let go.... and I had my finger behind the trigger pushing like I always do. The arrow took off and fell harmlessly to the ground about 10 feet from my stand. I thought at the time I'd done something wrong until that evening the same thing happened with a buck at 12 yards.

My brother and the 3 guys he hunts coyotes with got 67 of them this year with the guns and dogs. They got 92 a couple years ago. This is in the Adirondacks... tough hunting.
