Default RE: Rifle fit for larger guys?

Vapo, sorry buddy but I'm confused. Are you saying that fit is less critical for the smaller guys...and that bigger guys are just gonna get beat up a little morse no matter what? What I meant to ask in the post was whether or not any of the bigger guys here have found a certain rifle (Rem, wins, savage...marlin/winch) that seems to fit them better. LOP is pretty standard from one manufacturer to the next but they rarely list the drop at comb or heel. I do know that in shotguns I like ALOT of drop at heel. (I'm long necked and usually end up with the top half, or more, of the stock off my shoulder).
Not at all.....what I was trying to say is that the task of finding the right gun is the same for everyone.....there's guns that just don't fit me and I'm 6-1 and 220 as well.....but some guns don't fit and about the recoil...there's more to it than fit.....but fit is a major part of it.

It's shown that lighter weight folks bend at the hips and knees better than heavier folks whose inertia just plain absorb recoil. It's just a matter of trying stuff until it fits well.

As others have said Remington's fit me well.....they're fine styled and dimensionally excellent guns......but this is true of many guns.

Just go to used shops, gun shows, and other places where you can pick up guns and after a while some will just glare at you.....some will be obvious loosers.....some you'll love and that's time to break out the checkbook.
