I'm betting that the barbs don't reverse but you must unscrew the top half of the head completely off to pull your arrow through. Those are some wide barbs and not counting the fact that it would be a royal PIA to remove a fish,especially if you didn't shoot thru it, I bet that sucka would hold the fish. I saw these on ebay and thought about picking up a few for the asians.
