Default RE: easy gun cleaning process

I do not understand why the bias against WD-40, I have never had one problem with WD-40. My Remington 1100 has always been cleaned with WD-40 - - I bought that shotgun when I sold a 4-H steer back when I was 14, I am now more than three times that age and my 1100 has always performed without issue. I have had quite a few guns come and go through my fingers and they were all maintained with WD40 Maybe some one can explain why WD-40 is a bad thing. To me I have never seen any evidence to the contrary, just personal dislikes and that is fine.
