Skeeter, What part of the big "Iced Land" are you from. I'm in Alberta and this is my second year staring today! (it's after 12

) I don't get to shoot tomorrow, but I will be out helping with a few deer drives! That is the main way we hunt (with about 3 or 4 hunters) well, at least our group. Especially afer the sun s high in the sky. I was a poster last year and had deer within 10 yards of me. I opted to pass a few spikes and forkhorns and I didn't have the clip in when it counted <img src=icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle> but this is another year. That was a lot f bull**** but what I'm trying to say is. I can understand why you have to take the 300+ shots, I passed those up from inexperience. But you can get close if you are in the right spot and with a little luck...In your stand or as a poster (how ever you hunt) you can get close and don't nessecairrily need those 300+ shots. If they're there and you feel comfortable with the shot, Take it. You need at least a 4X scope though. Cause a deer at 300 yards is hard to see, it must me magnified to some extent for somewhat of an accurate shot...
Sorry bout the long post, really excited about tomorrow...er...TODAY! got to go to sleep now see ya!
