This morning I went back to the same place I was at yesterday. Not as many fish today, but I was mostly shooting photos anyway. What I was really hoping for was another crack at that mirror carp. I only see two or three of them a year around here, so it's always a nice bonus when I end up shooting one.
The carp seemed to wait until I set down my recure and picked up my camera, because I saw more fish through my SLR than over the top of a fiberglass shaft. I still managed to shoot a few fish, and even ran into the mirror carp again. Didn't choke this time though!
Total kill:
14 common carp
1 mirror carp
1 quillback
